Lakers to Headline Japan Games
When the Lakers and Warriors met last December,
Kobe Bryant and Antawn Jamison waged a classic
scoring duel. The two young stars will take their show
overseas in October when Los Angeles and Golden
State play two preseason games at the Tokyo Dome
in the 2001 NBA Japan Games.

Leslie Sparks L.A. to WNBA Finals
Lisa Leslie showed exactly why she's the WNBA's
MVP, posting career-playoff highs in points (36),
rebounds (16) and blocked shots (7) as the Sparks
reached the WNBA Finals for the first time in the
club's five-year history with a 93-62 drubbing of the
Sacramento Monarchs. The Sparks will take on the
